Dr. Desai is board certified in both internal medicine and hospice and palliative care medicine, providing comprehensive medical care to patients in the hospital setting. Specializing in palliative care, Dr. Desai is well-versed in complex symptom management, reviewing patients' goals of care and establishing advance directives during their hospitalization. Dr. Desai is passionate about educating patients on the importance of quality of life and takes a special interest in understanding what is truly important to each individual. Dr. Desai is a valued member of the palliative care team at Nuvance Health which received the prestigious Circle of Life Award in 2019. When not working on the units, he enjoys spending time with his family and his dog, Sansa.
